Cane Cult is a slow furniture brand and was founded and is curated by Zully and Jalal- A Brother and Sister duo who were born and raised in London.

Originally inspired with a traveling around the island of Sri Lanka they came across talented craftsman and artisan working with locally sourced rattan - once engaging with them, they found a lack of support and exposure of the dying art form of traditional Sri Lankan weaving.

Historically rattan workers were underpaid as talented artisans they wanted to design and create pieces that celebrated their craftsmanship with woven in stories of traditions that date back over four generations. It is ingrained in Cane Cults values they fairpay is essential to support these communities to thrive.

The story of Cane Cult is intertwining the artisan craftsmanship and immersing in a intersection of cultural designs that have been influential in their style of the brands signature.

'Japandi' design culture is the intersection of Scandinavian and modern Japanese interior design styles. Both, rooted in minimalist design principles, with a focus on warmth, natural elements, and muted color palettes. To make things interesting they intertwined this with an Industrial London touch. The London element is translated with iron work and with use of industrial, raw exposed elements.

In a world where process is often overlooked, we believe the journey is what defines it all. At every step of our operation, we highly value exclusivity in terms of valued materials and craftsmanship.
